The North Kings GSA adopted the Workgroup Policy (NKGSA – 2020-002) at the April 23, 2020 Board Meeting, establishing a collaborative model for accomplishing tasks to achieve a sustainable groundwater supply. Workgroups invite direct participation from the public, member agency representatives, and other stakeholders to work on implementing the Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP).
The Technical Workgroup formed and convened for the first time on February 4, 2022 to address the Department of Water Resource’s (DWR) comments on the North Kings GSA Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP). Since receiving comments at the end of January 2022, the North Kings GSA staff and consultants have immediately begun the work of addressing DWR’s comments through the Technical Workgroup. All meetings will be held virtually until further notice and are open to the public. The next meeting is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 6, 2022. Sign up for the North Kings GSA email list to make sure you receive meeting notices and details.
Public Engagement Meetings
The North Kings GSA is committed to engaging its stakeholders on groundwater sustainability planning and implementation. SGMA is best accomplished locally, and the North Kings GSA needs the participation of its landowners, residents, and other interested stakeholders to achieve shared success of a balanced groundwater supply.
