North Kings GSA Updated Project List Available Soon

The North Kings GSA’s project portfolio is expanding, and so is its capacity for groundwater recharge.

Each year the Board of Directors approves an updated project list to reflect progress toward groundwater sustainability. The North Kings GSA opened this year’s call for projects in May, and received three new project submissions from its member agencies, the Fresno Irrigation District and the City of Clovis. The Board will consider approval of the updated list at an upcoming meeting.

The North Kings GSA relies on projects to meet groundwater sustainability goals outlined in the Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP). Each project helps mitigate groundwater overdraft within the agency’s boundaries. Collaboration between North Kings GSA and its member agencies on these projects is vital to continue the work toward sustainability.

Keeping the project list updated also allows the North Kings GSA to apply for and receive grant funding to carry out sustainability goals.

The project list includes but is not limited to a variety of recharge basins, on-farm recharge programs, recharge facilities, water meter projects, and water treatment facilities. View the current project list here.
