The North Kings GSA is led and staffed by its Executive Officer, and receives supplemental support from its member agencies and technical consultants. Under the direction of its Executive Officer the North Kings GSA can effectively accomplish the groundwater sustainability goals for the region.

Kassy Chauhan has served as Special Projects Manager at Fresno Irrigation District (FID) and Executive Officer of the North Kings Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) since October 2019. She holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Fresno State and is a licensed civil engineer. With nearly 25 years of experience working with state, federal, and local entities in the water industry, Kassy brings a wealth of water resources expertise to her role.

As Special Projects Manager, Kassy coordinates across multiple teams to bring FID projects to fruition. She works closely with stakeholders, helping FID achieve its mission of protecting and managing water resources on behalf of its customers.

In her role as Executive Officer of the North Kings GSA, she is responsible for developing and implementing sustainable groundwater management programs and projects in compliance with the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA).

Originally from the agriculturally rich Imperial Valley, Kassy resides in Clovis and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also loves to play tennis.
