Directors Prieto and Pacheco Re-elected as Chair and Vice Chair
The Board of Directors unanimously approved re-election of Chair Jerry Prieto and Vice Chair Brian Pacheco for a one-year term. Chairman Prieto represents the Fresno Irrigation District (FID) and serves as the FID Board’s Vice President. Vice Chairman Pacheco represents the County of Fresno where he serves as District 1 Supervisor. Both Chairman Prieto and Vice Chairman Pacheco have served in this capacity since 2016 when the North Kings GSA was established.

Chairman Prieto graduated from California State University, Fresno with a bachelor’s degree in plant science. He has extensive government budget experience from his thirty-five-year career with Fresno County, including general and enterprise funds, has worked with the Department of Agriculture, and holds four years of experience as a senior personal analyst with the personnel department where he supervised labor relations and recruitment and exam programs. Chairman Prieto retired in 2008 from his position as the Fresno County Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures.

Vice Chairman Brian Pacheco brings personal farming experience in addition to his role as a Fresno County Supervisor to the North Kings GSA. He is a fourth-generation family farmer and dairyman in Fresno County and holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of California, Davis. With a passion for education, he also served on the board of the Kerman Unified School Board of Trustees for 12 years.
According to the North Kings GSA Joint Powers Authority bylaws, each elected officer will serve a one-year term.
