Farm Bureau FAACT Class makes tour stop at Fresno Irrigation District office for groundwater education
On March 7th, the Fresno County Farm Bureau FAACT (Future Advocates for Agriculture Concerned About Tomorrow) Class heard from North Kings GSA Executive Officer, Kassy Chauhan, on groundwater sustainability efforts and impacts to the agriculture industry.

The FAACT Class is an eight-month comprehensive educational series for community leaders. It focuses on introducing issues affecting agriculture through once-a-month, day-long seminars and field trips. Participants learn from leading industry experts throughout the eight-month program.
The importance of groundwater to the viability of agriculture in the region was recognized as a key issue at March’s FAACT class, and the opportunity to bring more awareness to the challenges and solutions serves to benefit local efforts toward sustainability.
