At the February 24th Board Meeting Kyle Moeller, Senior Irrigation Technician at Fowler Packing, was unanimously appointed to fill the at-large director seat (Seat 7). The seat was left vacant following the resignation of Director Eduardo Antunez, previously of Biola Community Services District (CSD), in January.
Director Moeller brings a broadened perspective on SGMA implementation to the North Kings GSA Board. As a Senior Irrigation Technician with Fowler Packing, Director Moeller is involved with the company’s water infrastructure and management throughout several Central Valley counties from Madera to Kings. His role at Fowler Packing includes considering the implications of SGMA and subsequent involvement in implementation efforts throughout the valley.
Chuck Rodriguez, Biola CSD President, was appointed to fill the first alternate role previously held by Director Moeller. Moises Ortiz, Malaga County Water District General Manager, will continue in his role as second alternate.
The parameters for the at-large seat are defined by the North Kings GSA bylaws which indicate the seat can be filled by anyone falling under the following three categories: municipal/industrial water supply members not currently serving on the Board of Directors, contracting entities, or interested parties.
