North Kings GSA Supports ACWA’s Vision for California’s Water Future

California’s next governor will make decisions that shape the future of water for communities across the state. That is why the North Kings GSA is joining water and business leaders from across California in supporting the Association of California Water Agencies’ (ACWA) Vision for Our Water Future initiative.

The initiative brings together water agencies, businesses, and labor partners around a shared policy agenda that encourages the next state administration to make water a top priority. The vision focuses on four key areas that support long-term water reliability for California:

• Lead on Water
• Protect Affordability
• Deliver Critical Infrastructure
• Modernize Water Management

For the North Kings GSA, these priorities align with the work already underway to implement the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) locally. Achieving groundwater sustainability depends on strong partnerships, continued investment in water infrastructure, and policies that give local agencies the tools they need to manage water resources effectively.
