Pinedale County Water District Residential Meter Installation

Project Overview

The Pinedale County Water District (PWCD) has taken significant steps to improve water management and promote local sustainability by installing meters at all residential service connections. In addition to installing meters, this project includes replacing 8,050 feet of aging main lines to improve the system’s efficiency.

With meters in place, the District can accurately track and manage water use, helping to offset groundwater pumping and saving approximately 210 acre-feet of water annually. These measures not only strengthen PCWD’s water management, but also contribute to long-term sustainability in the area.
